Maci is a American Stock Dog Reg Jr Puppy Best of Breed CHAMPION, was name Res. BEST IN SHOW puppy at the IABCA show in Tulsa, OK and Winners Bitch at a show in MO.

The Australian Shepherd originated in the United States. Their original use was to be a working ranch dog in the American West. Many Aussies work today on a ranches all over the world herding cattle, sheep and the like. Often you'll see an Aussie riding in the back of a ranchers truck or in the city playing frisbee or catch.

Aussies are very smart, quick to learn, and very athletic.

I know it's been a long time since I've been in contact with you, but I look at your website every few months. I noticed today that you have redone the website, and I enjoyed looking through it. I read on the Home page your comments about mini aussies being great cattle dogs and very athletic. I want you to know what else they can be....

Nash turns one year this week, and he has been coming to school with me for the last month (I am an elementary reading teacher). In the next few months he will be trained and certified as a professional therapy dog. He spends his days making children feel better if they are feeling down. He listens to students read books to him. He attends storytime in classrooms. In other words, he has become a very important part of our school community. Everyone who meets him comments on how sweet, calm, and wonderful he is. Even students/parents/staff who were wary of dogs at first have come to love him. I also have plans in the future to take Nash to nursing homes and the cancer center here in Topeka.

I just wanted you to know that my little mini aussie is touching many lives each day, and I am so thankful that we met you by "accident" that day at the rodeo.
